Our era is one of uniformity, likeness, everything the same. Many wines are illusion; there to deceive. You can see them, but they have no body, no backbone, no flesh, no meat. They have been made to correspond to certain tastes; most often insipid, pale and neutral tastes.
However, there is an oasis of good wines, and French Living is interested in the best of them.
These wines are unique, most unexpected, the least conventional. Excellence comes from growers who want their wines to have style, to be proud, alert, typical of their "terroir", yet unique. These are the growers who make wine with passion.
Fortunately these wines cannot be found in supermarket outlets or large wine stores, as they are not produced in the quantities demanded by such distribution. They are reserved for the local market, and for small quality companies such as French Living.
"Wine is as good as life to a man, if it be drunk moderately: What life is then to a man that is without wine? For it was made to make men glad". Bible. Ecclesiasticus Chap XXX1-27.
